I love the way the light and shadows play on the leaves and the symmetry of its structure reminds me of an opening lotus blossom

This trio was inspired by my weekend trips to the Farmers Market in our town

We have taken to feeding them in our backyard and as a result I have plenty of opportunities to observe them in a natural habitat

When the sun sets, the reflected light on the mountains changes them from their daytime colors to these magnificent purples, yellows and oranges.
