Rhys Vineyards Santa Cruz Mountains Syrah Horseshoe Vineyard 2016 SCCOS This is not your typicalPerched at 1,2601,610 feet among Monterey formation limestone soils, Rhys's Horseshoe vineyard expresses Syrah with wild, earthy complexity. Hand harvested Alban, Chave, and Syrah Noir clones fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged 10 months in neutral barrels plus 12 months in large cask capture crunchy wild berries, juniper, cracked pepper, and rich soil notes. The palate is medium full, firm, and multidimensional, finishing long and taut with
