Even people that arent avid bird watchers seem to gravitate to this red delight in the wild. Seven of our 50 states even have it as their state bird! I have always been drawn to them because my parents used to tell me they were visitors from heaven. And now they visit me when I go for my morning hikes in the desert Such a treat!
