"Some years ago I painted one of my earliest religious works of the Divine Mercy image. I was never happy with the final product. I suppose every artist is never truly satisfied with the finished work of art. I would remind myself of Jesus words to Faustina when He said, Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush, lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace (Diary, 313).
