A rich, full bodied wine with lots of fruit and glycerin and a velvety texture follows scents of licorice, creme de cassis, incense, and spring flowers. It is just beginning to reach its maturity plateau, where it should stay for ten to fifteen more years. Chateau Ducru Beaucaillous distinctive terroir is home to lovely, big stones, hence the name.
