The Port Ellen distillery was closed in 1983 and has since become one of the world's most sought after whiskies for drinkers and collectors. Distilled in 1978, matured in refill European oak butts and American oak hogsheads and released in 2016. Only 2,940 bottles were produced. Bottled at cask strength of 55. 2%.
