These do close seasonally at which time they look like a whole heap of miniature rose buds :)

If you look super closely at our photos you can see the thing I found most interesting about this hybrid, on the keel of the mature outer leaves you'll see an ever so slightly (raised?) triangle (second and third photo). It's really unusual. It's a subtle and may be farina, it's so slight, but I have not seen
