I would have given this wine a slightly higher rating but the new oak has been pushed to the limit

Note that this is evolving glacially and I have extended my suggested drinking window by several years

Wine doesn t get any better

A touch of unabsorbed SO2 doesn’t seriously detract from the pretty

Hundred Acre, Wraith Vintage:2014 I would have given thisMedium to deep garnet purple colored, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Wraith leaps from the glass with gregarious black and red cherries, mulberries, black currant cordial, red roses and lavender scents with layers of crushed rocks and earthy sparks. Faint earth and exotic spice nuances unfurl slowly, growing in intensity and depth. The palate is full bodied and solidly structured with firm, very finely grained, super ripe tannins and bold freshness.
