Due to the location of the park it closes at 5:00 PM

It was just past the new moon so it was quite dark in the area with an occasional mountain biker passing me from their evening ride on the mountain

and Cherry Creek

The skyline looks a little sparse from this view

Incoming Storm from Hallet Peak Presentation:Matted Due to the location ofIn late summer 2009 I took part in a Team in Training event which included a final hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. As we reached the summit of Hallet Peak, this was the view to the west as a storm quickly began to approach the area. Noticing this we quickly begun our trek back to the trailhead but not quick enough as some precipitation started to fall including a little snow.
