The width is not too wide so its very easy to use if youre sewing on a quilt frame without necessarily using a long arm machine. Either design can be used for a border as well as an overall pattern. Each pattern is one long line. Follow it all the way across each row. Use the registration marks to align. Designs measure 5 1 2" and 3 3 4". 2011 Dave Hudson Even
