This morning I decided to head out and photograph the storm clouds in the park that were coming through the area

to avoid the chaos of everyday life

I came upon these burr oak trees highlighted by the snowfall on the branches that always make for a beautiful scene

It had been a relaxing day at the campsite after the previous days of photographing this beautiful area in the Three Sisters Wilderness. The afternoon gave way to the early evening light that brought some soft lighting and remarkable colors to this incredible scene on this October day. A memory that stays with me to this day.
