Blue Hand Felted Floral Brooch edition #6 black earflap hat This olive green felt frameThis blue multi coloured floral felted pin is the sixth brooch I created, edition #6. This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. The center of this button has a steel cut filigree cage like star placed on top of a carved purple white shell. Circa 1890s. To create this brooch I work with coloured carded wool fleece, needle felting the wool into a unique design. It is then hand sewed and beaded
