Under the neck pickup dog ear mounting bracket there is a small amount of wood chiseled out on both sides (to lower the neck pickup)

1948 Gibson ES-300 - Natural Brazilian rosewood back1948 Gibson ES 350 in original blonde natural finish. A very pretty example with some figuring on the back sides and the factory stinger. This guitar is all original except the pickguard and the frets, but it has had some extensive repair work. The side panel near the input jack was once replaced and the sides oversprayed. After this repair the guitar cracked again in the same area and this was repaired again. The back has light overspray in the belt
