Antique Hand Carved 22"+ French Plaque and Towel Rack with Needlepoint, Napoleon III, Victorian Era King of Sweden I've included several enlarged photosWith a charming and very French needlepoint, florals, ribbons, a harp and bird against a claret red background, this excellently preserved large plaque is entirely hand carved in wood stained a walnut hue. Not a bit of loss to that shell crested hand carved frame, nor the supports, but I do believe the round bar is added later, perhaps replacing one that broke. The bar has been painted black, seems very sturdy. Full measurements noted on the photos.
