Even with the wind I headed out to the Malecon and was treated to the waves crashing against the seawall

While walking around Valles Caldera National Preserve I spent some time around some of the old homesteads in the area

With sunrise almost 8:00am it doesn't require that early of a wake-up call but still enough to get the pre-dawn light

In any city it is quite different of the morning activities as people start their day

First Light in Greenland Nature Even with the wind IWhen visiting Greenland I was sure to find myself awake just prior to the light rising in the morning. With the duration of dawn long being in the northern reaches it was a slow change to the light. On this morning we found ourselves passing some impressive mountains with clouds joining us on this day. Up until now we had mainly blue skies, however the low clouds added to the scene.
